Borgund Stave Church, Norway
Borgund Stave Church is a stave church located in Borgund, Lærdal, Norway. It was built sometime between 1180 and 1250 AD with later additions and restorations. It is classified as a triple nave stave church of the so-called Sogn-type. Its walls are formed by vertical wooden boards, or staves, hence the name “stave church”. The four corner posts were connected to one another by ground sills, resting on a stone foundation. The rest of the staves then rise from the ground sills, each stave notched and grooved along the sides so that they lock into one another, forming a sturdy wall.
La Sagrada Familia, Spain
La Sagrada Familia is a roman catholic church located in Barcelon, Spain and designed by celebrated Spanish architect Antoni Gaudi. He worked on the project for some 40 years but died before construction was completed. He’s buried in a crypt beneath the nave. Constructed in the 1880’s, the church is the famous tourist site in Barelona. Construction on the cathedral, including the east-facing main face, is scheduled to continue for another 20 to 30 years.
Although incomplete, the church is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and in November 2010 was consecrated and proclaimed a minor basilica by Pope Benedict XVI.

Frauenkirche was a roman catholic church and was taken by the Protestants then now, it is become a Lutheran church. Built in the 18th century, the church was destroyed in the bombing of Dresden during World War II.
In the 1980s, the ruins became a site of the East German peace movement; thousands gathered here to peacefully protest the regime of the East German Government. In 1994, they decided to resurrect the glory of Frauenkirche. The reconstruction of exterior and interior was completed in 2004 and 2005 respectively.

The church of Hallgrimur or also known as Hallgrimskirkja is a Lutheran parish church located in Reykjavík, Iceland.
